The Tofino Beach Lodge is a nature retreat within the traditional territory of the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation that immerses guests in the stunning landscape of Tofino surrounded by the breathtaking expanse of the UNESCO Clayoquot Sound Biosphere Reserve. The Lodge building hovers above the forest floor and provides guests a perch where they can delight in dramatic views of the wild Pacific and enjoy the flavors of an acclaimed food scene.
The project is composed of a hotel, lodge, cabins, spa, and employee housing buildings. The building are situated on site to minimize the impact of the footprint, and protect existing riparian wetlands. The natural landscape is the star of the show, and the buildings are designed and oriented to provide an immersive experience.
